I campioni in carica, Street Profits, difenderanno il RAW Tag Team Title contro i Viking Raiders in quello che fino a poco tempo fa poteva essere un match da sogno per la categoria.
Sfortunatamente però, nelle ultime settimane le due coppie hanno dato vita a segmenti prettamente comedy affrontandosi ripetutamente in segmenti comico/sportivi che li hanno coinvolti in sport come basket, golf, bowling, tiro con l'ascia e una sorta di decathlon.
Questa sera si affronteranno finalmente sul ring, sperando che per entrambi sia posta la parola fine ai suddetti segmenti che niente avevano a che fare col wrestling.
Parlando di Backlash, pur non essendo ancora stato annunciato, il match del pre-show dovrebbe essere quello valido per lo United States Title fra il campione Apollo Crews e l'ex detentore della cintura, Andrade.
